Angel Delgadillo is credited with beginning the preservation efforts
of Route 66 when he, and other small business owners in northern
Arizona, founded the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona in 1987, the first group of its kind. He has been interviewed over one thousand times, both nationally and internationally, and truly enjoys sharing his story. Angel's interview with John Lasseter from Pixar, helped to create the story of Radiator Springs in the movie “Cars” (2006). People come from all over the world to meet the man who, in an effort to save his town from economic collapse, inadvertently led the revival of "The Mother Road" and made Seligman “The Birthplace of Historic Route 66”.
